The 8 Best Babysitting Websites and Apps | Healthline Parenthood

Hi, my name is Angel, and I am an English major at Clayton State University  I enjoy reading books about contemporary issues, thrillers, and fantasy📚 I am aiming to work at a publishing house after college and become a full-time author. A few fun facts about me include; I am an anime fan. My all-time favorite anime is Inuyasha. I was born in Rhode Island and am the youngest of four.

While financial aid helps pay for classes, it leaves little for me to live off of, so I began babysitting. At five years of babysitting exactly, I now consider myself an expert on babysitting and anything that involves it. So I began this blog to inform both babysitters, parents and anyone else interested in the intriguing world of what it is like to be a student babysitter👶

First lesson in being a babysitter is that mom and dad should not stick around any longer than neccessary. If the child or baby is crying they will only cry harder and longer as long as they can see their parents. "Out of sight, out of mind" is real👀 Nine out of ten times I have ever watched a child the baby stopped crying after seeing their parents leave. A few comforting words and simple distractions go a long way if a child does not stop. I give this lesson to babysitters and parents becuase seven out of ten times its harder on the parents leaving than it even is for the kids.

So babysitters don't be shy or scared to tell overbearing maybe clingy parents to leave their paying you to be there for a reason. Parents do not be offended if a babysitter tells you, "You can go," you hired them for a reason.
